More than 50 Jubilee tickets donated to fan program.

More than 50 tickets will be making it to Jubilee fans who might not have the money to purchase the passes.

In its first year for the Adopt-a-Fan Program, the New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee presented 53 tickets to representative of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids First and the Community Services department, all purchased by people who purchased them for the program.

"The clients that know they are getting the tickets are absolutely ecstatic," said Anne Baxter, district manager of the Community Service department.

Forty-one of the tickets were youth passes with the remaining 12 being adult passes.

The passes were sold through the online ticket sales company, Ticketpro. When the company heard about the program Ticketpro employees started a fund to buy some adopt a fan tickets.

"The eastern representative heard, and on behalf of the company matched it," said Mike Dunning, co-chairman of the Jubilee. Dunning believes that Ticketpro donated about 25 of the tickets with the others coming from individual donors and businesses.
